Mauritius is truly a tropical paradise, known for its warm hospitality, stunning beaches, and remarkable cleanliness; something I personally experienced during my visit to this beautiful country.

Reading your posts about Mauritius, @KashifMisidia Bhai, brings back so many wonderful memories from the joyful days I spent there a couple of years ago. Your bus video especially took me right back to the familiar sounds and experiences of traveling to the Port Louis market from the resort near Coral Azur where I was staying.

The peaceful atmosphere, vibrant culture, and beautifully maintained surroundings make Mauritius much more than just a travel destination, it becomes an unforgettable experience that always calls you back again.

yuppiii @KashifMisidia . So glad to read part 4!

I remember the weather wasn’t very sunny, and yet you were so adamant about going to FEF on your own! At the time, I was a bit “worried,” (worried for the locals hahaha  beware Kashif is coming!) but now, seeing your adventure, it actually looks like so much fun to go solo and explore, especially by bus! From Rose‑Hill to FEF, the scenery is just insane: the sea, the mountains, the sugarcane fields, the historic structures, so much beauty in one journey.

BTW, many locals might not fully understand English, but they usually know Hindi, even if it’s a bit broken like mine lol  so no worries, no one really gets lost here. It’s such a tiny dot of land, surrounded by the beautiful ocean and filled with such lovely people.

Your daytime pictures look a bit different though. Did you change your camera settings? Even if it wasn’t very sunny, there’s usually enough daylight to capture that typical bright Mauritius beach vibe. my basic phone gets such ‘wow’ shots below… maybe your camera was just too mesmerized by all that beauty

But yaar, jokes apart, it’s amazing how you can narrate everything so vividly even after 6 months. It feels like it all happened yesterday.

Thank you for sharing Mauritius in such a positive and beautiful way! :folded_hands: :ok_hand:  :star_struck:

Thank you @PrasadVR , @Erna_LaBeau , @Katarina_Cibikova, @TravellerG , @Velvel for your lovely message :heart_hands:

hiya @Velvel ,

It depends on who you ask  For tourists and expats with foreign income, the coastal areas definitely offer a relaxed, slow-living paradise. However, for locals, the high cost of living and tough job market mean they have to hustle hard, and one look at the massive rush-hour traffic jams shows just how fast-paced and stressful the main cities actually are for an island of this size!

We are also a very low-key population with little nightlife; apart from a few chosen spots in the center with a couple of casinos and pubs, easily 80% of the island completely shuts off after dark. The ‘slow life’ is a beautiful concept here, but it is ultimately a privilege that depends entirely on where you live and your financial comfort, whether local, tourist, or expat.

Tagging forthcoming visitors  @PrasadVR , @TravellerG , @Katarina_Cibikova , @Erna_LaBeau , @AjitThite

I’m so glad that through my words and photos, you could actually feel the joy and peace I experienced while being there.

Regarding your wonderful question, yes, absolutely!
From what I observed, Mauritius can definitely be considered a haven for ‘slow living.’ Life there doesn’t feel like a constant rush; instead, it moves with a calm, peaceful rhythm that allows you to connect with nature and appreciate the present moment. The vibe of the beaches and the welcoming nature of the people perfectly reflect that tranquil lifestyle.

Thank you as always for your constant support and for bringing such insightful discussions to my posts!:folded_hands:t3:

I’m really glad you found the post interesting.

Mauritius has breathtaking beaches, but what truly stole my heart was the incredible warmth and hospitality from @SwetaDhondoo’s family. It made the entire trip feel like a home away from home. Being able to weave these memories into stories for our community is always an honor, and knowing that you enjoyed reading about it makes it even more rewarding.

Hi @SwetaDhondoo,
Haha, the locals were absolutely safe, I promise! :joy:
You are so right about the people; their warmth and the fact that many understand Hindi made me feel completely at home. No one can ever get lost in a paradise filled with such lovely souls!

About the daytime pictures, haha, you caught me! Maybe my camera really was too mesmerized by the sheer beauty of Mauritius to function normally.
But honestly, the lighting that day was a bit tricky, though the views were still incredible. Your shared shots look absolutely stunning, by the way!

Jokes apart, thank you so much for your beautiful words about my narration. It’s because the hospitality of your family and the beauty of your country left such a deep impression on my heart that even after months, every single memory feels as fresh as yesterday.

Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and host through these posts! Cheerz!:folded_hands:t3::heart_eyes:

I am telling the truth @SwetaDhondoo , the photos from your phone came out absolutely stunning. Yes, I had to edit the pictures a little bit because of the low quality of my own mobile camera.

Get ready for the next episode which can probably last episode of this Mauritius Diaries series!

And This was my absolute favorite visit of the entire trip in Mauritius, and I will be writing a post about it very soon.
