Many people (said young people) only knew about Indian film industry after “Slumdog Millionaire” but I knew about them since I was a kid @TusharSuradkar at ceremonies, they often played Film very late at night at the paddy field where people (young and old) would come together, sit and sleep to watch these movies. It was since Mr. Bachchan was still a young star or SriDevi was a young actress. I mean at that time, Indian film industry dominated us. There were no Korean film or Thai film. During 1980s (after the civil wars), our film industry were influenced by Indian film, we could see in the fashion (clothes), the hairstyles and the film itself where they would put one-two songs in the middle of the movie.
P.S. The Korean KPop dancing to me is just like a new version of Bollywood dancing.
Mahatma Gandhi is one of my role model.
His principle about civil disobedience and non-violence movement very inspiring.
You are so lucky to have a picture with the human size-statue of Sir Mahatma Gandhi statue.
The color of Your shirt, the statue and the train station building are matched.
What do you think @TusharSuradkar , @Mukul_Anand , @TravellerG .
Are you agree with Sir Mahatma Gandhi principles about non-violence movement ?
I learnt about him from high school as they extract something from him to be in school curriculum @BudiFXW I was lucky to see this. When I wrote this article, I learnt more from him. Yes, he is a special human kind and we need more human like him in this world.
Can’t agree more @BudiFXW he looks exactly like him. I also watched that film.
@TravellerG India has uncountable great souls, even us Cambodian also influenced by Indian civilization. We also have one statue of him in Democratic park in Phonm Penh but I haven’t seen the statue myself. @TusharSuradkar pointed it out for me in Google Map. I will look into him someday since we are in the same town.
@TravellerG sure my dear friend, thank you very much for supporting. You are one of the reason I still keep sharing and appearing in Connect. Best wishes.

Maybe more than an year (or two) back, our respected @AdamGT stopped responding in LG Connect; through private messages, I could humbly inspire him… & He replied saying that he is returning back to LG Connect because of me… I felt thankful…
Of course, once he returned, due to his consistent hard work and quality contributions, even he became a Connect Moderator… Once again congratulations…
I recall seeing the statue of Mahatma Gandhi when I was in Wellington in February 2020 and remember wondering at first what it was doing in New Zealand and what the connection was between Gandhi and Auckland given that he was ore a foot soldier than a sailor.
I don’t recall if I stopped responding on Connect @TravellerG however it is a possibility when I was travelling which I certainly was through 2017, 2018 and 2019 which all came to an end in mid-March 2020. If it was your inspiration that brought me back then I am most grateful
Oh - I see @AdamGT we have to thank Covid or you will be travelling nonstop and won’t have much time talking to us jkd
Yes, good observation. Ones wouldn’t notice him much as normally people would run to the train not to miss it except you are a visitor and got plenty of time strolling around. I love it because the railway station is just below my school
