Local Guides’ Visit to Lahore Fort (Shahi Qila) — A Glorious Symbol of Mughal Grandeur

Yes, absolutely @curatorofmemory . That’s exactly what I mentioned in my post , that this fort can be considered a twin of the Red Fort in Delhi.
In fact, I would even say that during the Mughal era, both Delhi and Lahore held great significance on a global scale.
And I feel proud, as should you and all of us, that we belong to this remarkable region with such a glorious past.
Indeed, borders and politics may have separated us, but deep inside, we are still one.

Bohat Shukriya @TravellerG
I’m truly amazed to think that in those times, when there were no modern machines or advanced tools, they still had such brilliant and skilled engineers who created these incredible masterpieces, one of which, the Taj Mahal, is among the Seven Wonders of the World.
It’s my wish to personally take you along and show you, one by one, all the historical places I’ve explored in Lahore. I don’t know when this wish will come true, but I remain hopeful that soon the circumstances will improve, and both of us will be able to visit each other’s countries.

Thank you so much @MaazAhmad for a wonderful tour and your great hospitality :folded_hands:t3:

Areh…waah..
That’s great… Learning new languages… I was a fan years ago…now due to poor usage, I forgot many… I stay in Bangalore…ie, South Central India - I manage with 6 languages to communicate…
Thanks dear friend, @Trishatishu
Prayerfully wishes to you…

Thank you so much @Ssiddharth2000 for your kind words and for always sharing such deep reflections about history and architecture. Your passion for the heritage truly shows in every post you make.

I completely agree, the Lahore Fort is indeed a marvel, not just for its grand Mughal architecture but also for how beautifully it connects us to the glorious past of Akbar and Shah Jahan’s era.
I’m really glad you appreciated the way it has been preserved; it’s one of those places where every wall and corner has a story to tell.

And thank you once again for your generous words about the PSL Humaray Heroes Award :folded_hands:t3:

Thank you so much Guru Jee @Kumaarsantosh for your kind and deeply thoughtful words. Your appreciation truly means a lot to me. I’m so glad you connected with my post and found the comparison with the Red Fort meaningful, because, as you said so perfectly, a visit to Lahore would indeed feel incomplete without experiencing the timeless beauty of the Shahi Qila.

Your expression “लाल किला नहीं देखा तो क्या देखा” beautifully captures the shared heritage that binds our histories together. I genuinely value your perspective and the way you always highlight the cultural depth behind every story.

And thank you for noticing the photographs too, I wanted them to reflect the same sense of awe I felt while exploring this magnificent fort.
Hope to let you visit these amazing places someday along with my commentary :hugs::blush::folded_hands:t3:

Exactly, The structures of Mughal architecture in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are indeed quite similar. I also hope that when you visit Pakistan someday, you’ll get the chance to explore these magnificent historical sites in person.
Don’t forget to include Karachi in your trip

Hi @KashifMisidia Bhai, thank you for sharing your visit to Lahore Fort, especially you shared us the story in detail.

Nice to see that this visit brought back your memory when you visited with your beloved father long time ago.

The fort reminds me of Qihou Fort in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
