Level 10 Local Guide: Over 2,300 Reviews & 10,000 Photos Hidden by Automated Filters

@MortenCopenhagen

Dear Morten,

I cannot thank you enough for your time, exceptional support, and invaluable guidance. Seeing that 1,453 of my reviews are back online brings a huge sense of relief, and it is all thanks to your precise insights.

I am currently taking your advice very seriously and strictly auditing my remaining profile to clean up any generic reviews before submitting the form. I want to make sure my contributions truly serve the Google Maps community.

Thank you again for your kindness and for addressing the previous situation—it truly means a lot to me.

Warmest regards,

Yousef

My pleasure.

One thing I forgot to mention. It is not related to the guidelines. So don’t worry.

Most or all your photos are taller than wide. Just by a bit. In the future I would recommend you use landscape mode instead for still photos. Google Maps will auto crop our photos when another format is needed. This can ruin your photos. Please see this tutorial about getting sufficient cropping space to the right and left on your photos.

Thanks a lot for the concise and practical lesson, Morten! Really appreciate the tip and will definitely start shooting in landscape mode with proper framing from now on.
