I am glad that you too know these gnocchi and that your mother has prepared them for you !!
You’re right, even for the sauce or the sauce it would take a dedicated post: not all tomatoes are indicated and the sauce has a low flame cooking time and very slow!
Yes, we Italians have the family and all the traditions in our DNA and it is very nice to be able to export them and above all to make them known on the other side of the world!
If you get it in Italy, make a whistle: even if I had to take the train or drive for hours, it would make me so happy to meet you again !!!
You are welcome @Victoria_v !
I hope these gnocchi are perfect and good and I’m looking forward to hearing your impressions!
Delicious ravioli! What filling did you prepare them for?
There are foods that should be prepared in the family, all together, to be together!
Among these we have the gnocchi, the equally famous Lasagna - I called “Pasticcio” - , the Ravioli or the simple Tagliatelle!
We spend the morning preparing everything, young and old!
Then we eat the fruit of this work all together in joy!
Beautiful traditions that remain forever in the heart and memories!
Gnocchis are my favorite pasta, @davidhyno . Because besides being easy to make like you said they are also very easy to eat, unlike some noodles. Thank you for sharing!
Those photos sparked up memories, I also used to make gnocchi like that with my mom when I was a kid, it was very fun. Well, just the rolling the dough and doing the forks bit, we were lazy and didn’t do it from scratch like you from the potatoes and all
We adore Italian cuisine in Ukraine and we have lots of restaurants all over the big cities (among them my favorites Vino e Cunina, Vero Vero, La Veranda and maaaaaaaaaany others) in most of them you can find gnocchi, but thanks to your posts we can easily make it on our own!
Thank youuu for sharing with us such a great cooking master class!!!
Yes, @uavalentine I have to admit it: here in Italy we eat really well, both in the north and in the south of the country!
(Although I have to admit my favorite cuisine is Mexican!).
Who knows, we could meet in the next European Meet-up so we will also have the opportunity to exchange some of our most typical dishes!
