My personal experience: the longer the road, you edit or add, the longer it takes for approval and the more likely, it might be rejected or it times out after 90 days.
During the last four days, I added several very short road segments and all, except one, were accepted the next morning.
The one not accepted, is a part of a biking path, I am trying to add since two years without any success. So, there are some kind of paths in certain areas, where it is simply not possible. Other parts of the same track, myself and others were able add. No idea why, but ist seems to happen more likely for bike paths.
