What I love about being a Local Guide:
Being a Local Guide is my way of sharing the world
with others, especially those looking to explore and connect with places authentically and deeply. I love showcasing the hidden beauty of the places I know, helping travelers find unique experiences, and creating solutions to make those discoveries easier. When I got involved with tourism in Jericoacoara, I realized how small gestures – like helping a tourist find an amazing restaurant
or suggesting a secret trail
– could completely transform a trip. Speaking English also broke a huge barrier for me, allowing me to learn more about myself by talking to tourists from all over the world
. Today, as part of the Local Guides community, I feel like I’m part of something bigger – a movement to explore, connect, and create memories for people everywhere.
My favorite thing to explore:
I love nature
, exotic places
, and hearing stories. I enjoy hiking
, immersing myself in nature, and meeting new cultures and people
. My favorite sport is also disc golf
, just like Andrew!
A fun fact about me:
My journey as a Local Guide began with a life-changing decision that redefined my purpose. I grew up in São Paulo, where I discovered my entrepreneurial spirit at a young age and started my own business
. However, something always pulled me away from the city, toward nature and the unknown. That’s when I decided to leave everything behind and move with my dog
to Jericoacoara, a paradise in Ceará.
In Jeri, I discovered the powerful impact technology can have on tourism and local communities. I got to know everyone in the small village
and began using my tech skills to help small businesses stand out in tourism: I created websites
, implemented digital payment methods
, made videos
to promote inns and tours, and even mapped locations
to make things easier for visitors. These experiences showed me that my purpose is to connect people and places using creativity and innovation.
Today, I combine my passion for mapping, technology, and tourism to help others explore the world through my lens. I create a company called Real Vision wich create interactive solutions, virtual tours, and Street View lines both inside and outside the Google platform using my 360° equipment
.
