Hello there! I’m David and I live in Plymouth, Devonshire here in England.
I have lived in the USA for 15 years. San Francisco and the East Bay. I loved my time there and started my first website in 1998 when I lived downtown San Francisco.
This was when I fell in love with “that new thing called Google!"
My Detroit wife and I moved to Huntersville in North Carolina for a few years and moved back to England in 2009.
We both love the coast and moorland here.
I also lived in beautiful Norway for almost 3 years where I toured as a professional DJ.
I continue my SEO knowledge with charity work.
I love reviewing places and taking photos… with my pixel phone!
Enjoy life everyone
David Saunders

Introduction for Local Guides Connect — February 2026
Hi everyone! I’m Maminul Islam Mollah from Debidwar, Cumilla, Bangladesh. I’m a teacher, journalist, and researcher passionate about education, community service, and historical documentation.
I contribute to Bengaltimes, Saptahik Amod, and other media, and I’m a Level 5 Google Maps Local Guide.
I love exploring cultural sites, heritage spots, and sharing local history through writing and mapping.
In my free time, I enjoy learning, writing, and spending time with my family: my wife Tahmina Yasmin, my son Tazim ul Mumin, and my daughter Tasnim Binte Mumin.
I’m excited to connect with fellow Local Guides and learn from your experiences!
Aamiinn mbak, insyaAllah bermanfaat ![]()
1. Name: Priya Kannan
2. Location: Chennai, India
3. What led you to become a Local Guide: Growing up in a small town near Chennai, I spent years looking toward the city for excitement and experiences. However, I soon realized that my own neighborhood was evolving, with incredible new spots opening up right under my nose. I became a Local Guide to put my town on the map. By highlighting these local businesses, cafes and new places - I hope to drive growth and recognition to my community, ensuring that great local experiences get the attention—and the foot traffic—they deserve.
4. My favorite thing to explore: I am a seeker of hidden gems and mountain mists.
I trade tourist traps for quiet estates, unique workshops, and off-beat stays. My mission: finding the unlisted magic in every destination.
5. Fun fact about me: I consider myself a gourmet rather than just a foodie—I’m there for the craft and the story behind the plate. But, my ‘research’ requires finishing the whole meal, which has led to me gaining a few ‘Local Guide pounds’ along the way! Luckily, I balance the scales by hiking to catch every sunrise and sunset I can find. My heart and my tummy, are both very full. haha!
