Hi @AngieYC, I have been here since some years but recently getting along well with this amazing group of people from across the globe. However, Since I missed introducing myself earlier, taking this opportunity to do it here.

3. What led you to become a Local Guide: I love places just the way they are—no heavy edits, no filters, no exaggerations. While traveling, I noticed that some spots were even more beautiful in real life than in the photos I saw online. As someone who enjoys capturing places exactly as they appear, I decided to share my photos on Google Maps so people could see the true charm of each location. The response has been wonderful so far, and it inspires me to keep contributing and sharing real, honest views of the world.
4.My favorite thing to explore: I usually explore less visited spots, widely known as hidden gems. I am also fond of food and generally explore local businesses for the same.
5.Fun Fact about me: I love photography—though I’m still on a mission to make food look as delicious on camera as it tastes in real life. Yes, I’m that person who sees the world through a lens and believes every photo is a story about perspective. The best part? Looking back at my shots and discovering how differently others interpret the same moment I tried to freeze in time.

Hi Team,
My name is Sudip Pawar (you may also call me Sid)
I am from Mumbai, India
I started contributing to Google Maps in 2017 when I realized how important accurate information is for people who travel, explore new places, or make everyday decisions.
Many times, I noticed that small but essential details—like parking availability, accessibility, service experience, or updated photos—were missing.
This motivated me to share honest reviews, helpful photos, and updated information so others can have a smoother experience.
I enjoy discovering practical, everyday locations that make life easier for people—local eateries, service centers, small businesses, and hidden community spots. I also love exploring new developments in the city and providing updated information that benefits both residents and visitors.
Being a Local Guide I actively contribute Google maps, helping people through meaningful reviews.
Every contribution feels like I am improving the digital map of my locality/city, one update at a time.

What led you to become a Local Guide: I’ve relied on Google Maps and other people’s reviews since what feels like the very beginning, and they’ve helped me so many times that I eventually decided it was time to give back. That’s how I ended up becoming a Level 7 Local Guide and picking up badges like Master Reviewer and Master Photographer along the way. I enjoy adding the kind of details I wish I’d known beforehand, so other people can have an easier time deciding where to go.
-
My favorite thing to explore: I love tracking down off-the-beaten-path restaurants, the kind of places you usually only hear about from locals or stumble on during a drive. A lot of my exploring happens on the road around New England, and I really enjoy finding those small, memorable spots that deserve a bit more attention on the map.
-
Fun fact about me: I’m an avid skier and a father of four, so many of my adventures are either on the slopes or on family road trips. Between shuttling kids, chasing fresh snow, and wandering New England’s back roads, I always seem to find somewhere new to review.

My name is Younggeun Kim.
I run an optical shop in Myeong-dong, Seoul, and as of 2025 I’ve been in this field for 36 years. I am a licensed optician and the owner of the practice. Although my shop is not on the ground floor but on the 11th floor of an office building, it has been visited by many distinguished guests over the years, including presidents, people from the media, and legal professionals. These days, more and more international visitors are also finding their way to us.
Our practice is equipped with some of the most advanced systems in Korea, including comprehensive vision testing instruments, precise lens-design measuring devices, and a high-end edging and glazing system. I am also the official distributor in Korea for eyemetrics, a Japanese custom-made eyewear brand known for frames that are designed not to slip down.
Our shop is located on the 11th floor of the Gaeyang Building, 60 Myeong-dong 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul.
What I enjoy most as a Google Local Guide is the ability to share new and useful information with a wide range of people I may never meet in person. I’m proud to be a Level 10 Local Guide.
My hobbies are marathon running and cycling. This year, I completed a 169 km ultra marathon in Mongolia and have finished two full marathons in Korea. On the bike, I mainly ride a road bike and a Brompton. I also love traveling, and whenever I visit a new place, I upload photos and highlight the local character of the area on Google Maps. Going forward, I plan to share more stories and updates about Myeong-dong as well.
Wishing all my fellow Google Local Guides the very best of luck.
