It’s sad to say that Google Local Guides Bangladesh is currently available only for selected or invited guests. It is no longer an open/public group, and joining a meetup feels like winning a lottery. My question is: do all Local Guides communities around the world work the same way as in Bangladesh?

Thanks for your kind words.

Bangladesh Local Guide organizes 25 meet-ups every year. Except for 2 or 3 meetups out of these 25 meetups, all other meetups are open to everyone. Only 2 or 3 special meetups attendees are selected through the registration process due to limited seats. As far as I remember, I have never seen you attend any open program. You are only interested in attending special meet-ups. Those who come regularly to open meetups will get priority in special meetups, that is normal. What do you think?
