useful information
Oi @Julie_A !
Thank you for providing very useful information.

Merhaba benim yorumlarım yaklaşık 1 yıldır yayınlanmıyor 7. Seviye rehberim bende cıkıyor yorumlar fakat farklı bir telefondan girdiğimde çıkmıyır yardımcı olur musunuz
One of the more sinister attempts that I ran into a few years back was someone trying changing phone numbers on banks and financial advisors. The new numbers would actually dial through to the intended business, but what the unsuspecting user didn’t see was that it was a man-in-the-middle attack. Basically it was connecting through the fraudster’s telco equipment so that they could monitor the call and possibly intercept sensitive personal information to gain access to financial accounts.
This practice was actually demonstrated by a white hat to an FBI field office. At first, they didn’t take the guy seriously, but he managed to convince them to dial the number shown on their Google Maps pin (which he had changed just prior to making his appearance). The agent dialed through and their office phone rang. They held a brief, mock conversation. Then, the guy pulled out his phone and played back the audio from the entire conversation. Needless to say, the situation changed from being brushed off to being interrogated!
If you call a phone number to verify it, be sure to have the person on the other end read it back to you to make sure it actually matches!
Thank you for the reminder. There has been some scammers of recent alright.
Thanks for you
Esses dias tentaram esse golpe comigo , mas não envolvia o maps ,
Thanks for the brief information. The most reported thing from me is selfie and personal photo on maps. I report them whenever I see them. But very often it gets removed.
Sometimes people post photo of their kids also, that is so annoying.
Hey i got a whatsapp message claming they are from NITIE LUCKNOW INDIA and asked me to rate 5 stars to their product in exchange of giving me money. Im a local guide level 8 from india. How do they got my whatsapp no. How should i report it
Buenas soy local guide y tengo problemas me bajan las contribuciones todos los dias tenia 8000 contribuciones y ahora tengo 600 y soy nivel 7 por favor que alguien me ayude con esto
Ugh I hate it so much when these “offers”(scams) pop up in websites that are trusted and credible I believe just because of paid ads by the scammers. Still should be illegal as it advertises and generally contributes to the facilitation of users clicking and becoming more susceptible to these horrible and incredibly annoying scams and scam emails.

この場合どうしたら良かったのでしょうか?
Thanks for bringing this up. I havent come accross anything like this yet. Though some people leave review while not visiting a place or not having experience there
Thank you for sharing the tips. There is way too many scams and spamming happening now-a-days
Thanks @Julie_A for guiding us. It will help us to report a spam listing user and review too.
Thanks @Julie_A for sharing these wonderful tips
And what about profile ( mine) that you’re algorithme systematicaly ( and wrongfully) identify as spammer ? My review politic is to post only ( mostly) when I’m satisfied. I’m aware of all the wrong that a bad review can do. As a consequence most of my review are 5 star, and now they are allways rejected for spam ( even with your advise Morten).
Anyways sorry Google but I’m wont be hater to climb the Local Guide ladder.
Merry Christmas
PS: as a medical professional my income are around 90k € a year. No real need to earn a dime creating spam review once in a month ![]()
It is not an issue to post mostly positive reviews.
You accidentally posted the same photos more than once:
Please delete such duplicates.
Your photos otherwise are great. You are carefully chopping off or painting over faces (most of the time).
Sometimes reviews get blocked due to issues outside the review itself.
To could try the appeals for for hidden contributions after deleting your duplicate photos.
Cheers
Morten
