How Satellite Images Are Captured For Google Maps?

Thank you all for helping me out here, this was one of the hardest thing to ever imagine, without having a proper response or a simple picture in my head, now I see why some satellites images are of less quality and others high. It is really interesting to see how much work is required to compile Google Maps and have it with many features we see and use today.

The link you shared @magrippa is very much useful, and it gave me the basic knowledge on how this is done. Thank you.

That is true @MortenCopenhagen it has been confirmed that it is the use of satellite for less resolution and aircraft for higher resolution. Thank you for contributing as well. I am glad to see that you are still helpful here ever since!

Hi @Flash the most interesting part here is the technical side of it, I am happy you did your best to clarify this to me and to the community as a whole. I always wonder how its done as I sometimes expected to see those aircraft when recording but never seen one, I guess they do this when I am busy with something else, or indoors, lol. I have noticed that normally these images changes every 5 years to some places or in big cities if I may say. Does the 3D mode get compiled from these same images on satellite view/mode either for Google Earth or Google Maps?

That will be great @TravellerG and its great to see you here @JanVanHaver .
