Kayaking down the Los Angeles River. Massive efforts underway to let the river take a more natural course through the city. The section where you can kayak has been partially restored by removing the concrete that was poured in the 1930s. The riverbed itself was restored to it’s natural state. This image shows the newly formed islands where the river runs its own course and on the other side at the industrial sprawl of the city.

I love kayaking too but in a river not infested by crocodiles.
