The best topic to discuss in my case I have some choices in celebrating Valentinrs Day either to go out to check new places to try their food which I searched the menu online first if the photo of the meal is appealing enough I would love to go. My other choice is homemade meal I do not want to brag my husband is a good cook
Happy Valentine’s Day to all my LG friends

Oooh, is Pahela Falgun the first day of spring in your country @KamalHossenR? That’s such a wonderful coincidence of celebrations!
Well, that’s a very nice decor! I hope you enjoyed your day and favorite coffee, @Manishhh.
Long live partners that are good cooks! That sounds amazing, @Erna_LaBeau, I hope you have your best meal yet today!
Thank you for taking part @Papel_Mahammud!
Such a wonderful post anr a fun poll dear @DeniGu ! I have shared my inputs ! So happy to see so many Local Guides here celebrating with their loved ones
For those who wish to have ideas of how to celebrate , heee is a post on how we can use Maps to help Small Local businesses and celebrate Valentines with our loved ones !
Wow, an excellent poll indeed, @DeniGu. I loved it.
We celebrate by exchanging some gifts (not so specific but of the essential items) or chocolates.
I like to make a surprise rather than a planned one. Normally we don’t go out for food but to buy something, especially for her.
Happy Valentine’s day to all!
Cheers!
For me, love isn’t just about celebrating one special day. It’s in the little things we do every day. It’s in the heartfelt calls to my parents and siblings, in the meals I cook with love for Pavel, and in dressing up-wearing a beautiful saree just for him. It’s in the simple joys of spending time together, exploring scenic places, taking long drives with our favorite songs, and making promises to ourselves to grow and cherish life even more.
Google Maps has played a special role in our journey together. I save places I dream of visiting with Pavel-restaurants, cozy cafes, and breathtaking landscapes-so we always have something to look forward to. We also enjoy contributing to Google Maps together, playfully checking who has uploaded more photos or made more contributions. It’s our way of sharing our adventures with the world while creating lasting memories of our own.
One of our most unforgettable Valentine’s Days was in 2018. Back then, we were in a long-distance relationship-me in Bangladesh, Pavel in Malaysia. That year, Google Local Guides featured our story across all their platforms, including the Google Blog titled " Meet the couple that guides together". It was a magical moment, a beautiful reminder that even across borders, love knows no distance. And then, in 2023, Local Guides featured us once again. Seeing our journey highlighted again was deeply heartwarming and strengthened our bond even more.
Pavel is more than just my partner-he is my greatest blessing. His kindness, honesty, and hardworking nature inspire me every day. He believes in empowering women and always stands by my side, encouraging me to chase my dreams. I know he carries the weight of responsibilities and sometimes feels overwhelmed, but I want him to know: We are so incredibly proud of you @PavelSarwar
On this special day, I want to remind him how much he means to me. I see every effort, every sacrifice he makes for our family-MashaAllah. Every day, I choose him, and I always will. His health, happiness, and well-being are my top priorities because I want us to share a long, joyful life together, InshaAllah. He means the world to me, and I am beyond grateful to walk this journey with him. Alhamdulillah.
Thank you, @DeniGu , for asking how we celebrate this day- it’s a beautiful reminder to cherish the love that surrounds us.
Hi @DeniGu ,
Thanks for taking time to initiate such a lovely conversation full of love . I have voted for this.
IMHO, Love is not specific to a date or an occassion only, Love is something we should carry in our attitude. This should be the reflection of a mankind and we must celebrate it everyday at our home, at our work or wherever we are and with whomsoever we are. Love is infectious. Love is a language of heart which directly touches the heart and that makes it so powerful.
Having said that to celebrate any occasion at grand level, we should have an earmarked date and so is today for Love. My daughter and I shared this moment to cherish forever.
তুমি না থাকলে সকালটা এতো মিষ্টি হতো না
তুমি না থাকলে মেঘ করে যেত বৃষ্টি হতো না.
Thanks for everything you are doing for us.

Valentine’s Day (and most celebrations, really) is indeed a great time to support small and local businesses, @Globe_trotter_Ish. Thanks for re-sharing your list of inspiring ideas!
What are your favorite gifts that you’ve given and received, @AjitThite?
Sending you all some virtual chocolates
@DeniGu thank you for sharing this questionnaire
Me and @Ssiddharth2000 we try new ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day every year, sometimes we just stay home, go on a short cost vacation, or just hangout to a new location or explore history. Sometimes we just stay home, play games, drink hot chocolate and watch movies like “The Notting hill” “Music & Lyrics” or “51 Dates”.
It’s actually fun to see how other local guides celebrate Valentine’s Day but in my life love grows each day with inspiration to be a better best version every moment of myself. Hope you are celebrating love each day with your loved ones. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and everyone.
@SumaiyaZafrin Thank you, thank you for sharing the beautiful story you’re writing with @PavelSarwar every day! It’s inspiring to see the love and support you have for each other.
Wishing you both an eternity of happiness while you continue to explore the world together!
That’s a lot of celebrations, @ShailendraOjha! I hope they all come with delicious treats and nice moments shared with your loved ones.
