Haha yes @Christine_T , I just recently noticed it as well, at least for the last two hotels I stayed in, Millennium Mitsui Garden and Courtyard Inn Ginza hotel. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, and also it’s a 10 minute walk to Tsukiji fish market, which is a huge bonus 
Oh interesting… I wasn’t aware that you can buy JR East pass in Japan. That’s definitely good to know!
