Thank you for showcasing these great posts @DeniGu . As always, @ErmesT 's photography made me hungry! I read a great post this week from @Joel_S called Sweden is fantastic. He had amazing photos of reindeer, cloud berries and a frozen lake. If you get a chance, check it out.

Haha, @JustineE

we just started to post

The best part will come soon, with posts like Eat Italy - do you Pizza? #TeamItaly by @LuigiZ . Pasta (fresh, dried, stuffed and more), Risotto, Caffè (not only Espresso and Cappuccino), Gelato, and Social behavior at dinner will come soon.

Is β€œfare scarpetta” appropriate in a dinner? This is one of the question we will answer

Awesome @ErmesT . Thanks for keeping me updated. I’m loving these food related posts! I was wondering last night why obesity isn’t an issue in Italy- with all your delicious food. Apart from the Dolce, do you have much sugar added to your foods (like sauces, pasta, bread etc)?

Obesity really starts to be an issue in Italy too @JustineE , but this is due to a lot of Junk Food.

Mediterranean food have carbohydrate, vegetables, and proteins in a balanced way. We mostly use olive oil, that contains antioxidants and is naturally reducing cholesterol, instead of butter or other kind of fat. Pasta itself is just an easy way to get energy, easy to digest if cooked al dente (well, I am not mentioning the sauces) and a lunch is usually not the meal that I described on my post. It is the classic meal, but most of the people just make a choice and decide if they wants a primo piatto or a secondo.

This is the whole dinner I had in Venice with @vvbellur

We started with an appetizer: Buffalo mozzarella, with watermelon and balsamic vinegar.

Then we shared our pasta: Tortelli with fried veggies (zucchini and eggplant) and Spaghetti with mint pesto and cheese

To end with biscotti (biscuits) and Vinsanto (a sweet, high grade, white wine)

And an espresso, of course ?

We walked more than 10.000 steps that night, exploring the hidden Venice

I need to tag also @InnocensiaO when I mention Biscotti

Thank you for these photos @ErmesT . I think portion size is a big factor too. These meals, while looking delicious, would not be large when shared between two people. I love the combination of watermelon and mozarella - yum!
