For the Love of the Ocean

hehehe teteeeeeh @Nyainurjanah geulis… damaaaang pangestu?

Hi @indahnuria

Thanks for your reply and query. Yes Like both of those , snorkeling and diving, but in our country those are not so available!

I remembered i did snorkeling in Krabi, Thailand ! a few years ago!

Yes @indahnuria

I like swimming very much. I did snorkeling only once in a travel to Catalina Island in California and I loved it! I hopeI can do it again soon, when I can travel again.

Greetings.

@indahnuria yes investigations are going on. But very slowly. Only today itself investigation report by 10 specialists confirmed that the cause for the death of hundreds of turtles and dolphins over the past two months has a direct connection to the disaster. I’m not sure about the damage that happened underwater. It must be really big.

I prepared animated presentation about ocean day and in that I explain about why we should not through garbage in river, pond and ocean, water creatures are eating it and suffering from many problems. Session was very interactive and students ware enjoyed it.

This is such a long yet meaningful post, Mbak @indahnuria

Congratulations for being featured as Friday Favorites

Two weeks ago, I visited Kodingareng Keke Island

It was a great experience to see the clear blue sea and spend the summer there :blue_heart:

Have you been to this island before?

And as you said, it is so sad to see trash at the beach. Just like me and my friends, we gathered the trash from our snack and drink then putting them into the plastic trash.

Oooh my @MAHBUB_HYDER … now you make me miss the ocean again! Looks like you are having fun snorkeling in Krabi! When you visited Bali, did you snorkel or dive s well? Hope next time you can enjoy that as well

I love to hear that! We went snorkeling and diving in Key Largo and Key West as well as the Caribbean while staying in the US. We really miss Indonesia at that time and we love to explore more underwater beauty from different parts of the world. Again, I sincerely hope you can travel safely and freely again soon

Oh @kasunaaa … my heart aches and cries reading your message :((. I know the impact must be disastrous and I do hope all necessary measures are taken to restore the area and to stop the continued loss of lives of those majestic sea creatures. My prayers for that! Keep us informed about the progress…

I can imagine how fun it is @Tejal … I bet many will be smitten and falling in love with the ocean once they know the beauty of it and how important it is to save our ocean. Keep up the great works, dear! Thank you…

my deal @Velvel … I am soooo envy LOL! I have been dying to travel more and see the beauty of our Indonesia but I know I have to wait until the pandemic is getting better before I can start traveling again. This island looks AMAZING! I went to Makassar for a quick visit for work and I didn’t get a chance to actually see this lovely island. My bad! I know I should go back here again soon!

You’re very welcome to come back here again @indahnuria :slightly_smiling_face:

I heard that Sulawesi has the best sea among the others Indonesia. Is it right?

And I felt so lucky to be able to explore some nature places during my first and second week in Makassar because right now we’re in social restriction as well

Public places including the beach are temporarily closed.

It’s sad, but we know that this is for the best.

Hopefully, our country will recover very soon :pray:t2:

yuuuup @Velvel … I can’t wait to go back here again. Basically, the eastern parts of Indonesia have the best beaches and more varieties of underwater creatures. I can’t wait to go diving and snorkeling there! Did you manage to snorkel as well

Sadly I didn’t manage to do snorkeling there because I didn’t prepare for that @indahnuria

But one day, I will!

I would love to try jet-skiing someday. That looks so much fun! Have you tried it?
