Oi, @tony_b

Sucesso

Hey

You have choosen a goo topic . Gaining Followers is directly proportional to how much they gained value with your review and photo that you shared on map.

If you want to have impact on them try to share goof content and

One tip will be write "follow me " at the end of valuable review .

People will definitely like to follow good guides .

Thank you

I fully understand your point of view @gmapas . While I like what’s happening here on Connect, I usually avoid social media in all other forms. Please don’t feel pressured to conform to what is considered “normal” here.

Hello @Aashutoshkumarbhar What I’m really trying to find out is what the benefits are from following or being followed.

Should I be getting notifications of everything the LGs do if I’m following them? I don’t think I do.

Should those who follow me be communicating with me in some different way? I haven’t noticed anything.

There’s nothing to show for it at all.

Writing “follow me” at the end of your reviews, @Aashutoshkumarbhar , can be considered as “self promotion”, and could be the reason why 15% of your reviews are not visible in Google Maps.

If this is the case, I would like to suggest you to check them

@Aashutoshkumarbhar I continue to get notifications every day about new people following me. Sometimes I follow them back, other times I don’t. But unless someone can tell me the real benefit of the “follow” feature, I don’t plan to make a big thing of it. I certainly have not included a “follow me” appeal at the end of my posts, so it’s amazing that I’m even being noticed.

That’s an interesting perspective @ArmandoMedina , So you’re saying people follow because of reviews. I spend a lot more time posting photos of places I visit, than I do writing reviews. My followers list is small, but I’m still at a loss whether it is a useful thing or not. Even today another person from a faraway country chose to follow me. There’s no evidence on their profile that they ever visited my country, so I don’t know what led them to my profile or why they’d want to follow.

Some of it is a bit sinister. They’re those who Follow, but the Follow Back option is unavailable. I don’t understand why they want to follow me but I’m not allowed to follow them. Then they are others who have inappropriate content on their profile headings. I report and delete those.
