After school, I started a part-time job in restaurant marketing. I used to visit new restaurants, but since they weren’t on Google Maps, finding them was tough. So, I began adding their info—location, photos, timings—to help myself and others.
Soon, I was updating details for many places just out of habit. One day, I got an invite from Google Local Guides. At the event, I was surprised to learn I was already a Level 8 contributor! I had no idea there were levels or points—I was just trying to help.
Now I’m Level 9 and still share info, not for rewards, but to make it easier for others—just like I once needed.
