I like stories about princesses and beautiful castles. But, honestly, I would not want to live in a castle. For life I prefer simplicity, functionality and modern household appliances. :)) But to see the ancient castle on the tour is interesting. Unfortunately, I was not yet in the castles, which I especially liked in the photos. It is Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany and Palácio Nacional da Pena, Portugal.

A perfect castle for all the princesses (or princes by the way), is Neuschwanstein in Bavaria (Germany).

I am a new member of the local guides who resides in Africa and who like to travel solo in Africa,and i am bit backwards,can someone tell me what is the difference between a normal house and a castle?. Is there a castle here in Africa?.Apologies if i am out of topic.

@kmajewski Wow! these are really beautiful castle. I would love to live in Castel del Monte (Andria, Italy). Because this seems less crowdy and I love the green environment.
I prefer the Japanese shurijo castle it is attractive and quite fascinating

@Karibou83 , you are correct Neuschwanstein Castle is the inspiration for Walt Disney to build his Sleeping Beauty’s Castle (or Magic Kingdom) in Disneyland.
