@JanVanHaver Love the post and it was very striking how, during your visit, you were always on the look out for things that you can add to your post! I rarely plan ahead but just figure out what to write based on what I have in hand. Manchester, minus the crazy weather, is lovely and I was so glad/proud to have been able to host you and show you around this beautiful manic city!
I also hope that the little bit of “mystery” during our walkabout kept you guessing what the true history of Manchester really is… until we met @PeteMHW , patron saint of general knowledge and unheard of trivia. I am really horrible at historical information and lousy at retelling them!
I still need to go through the numerous photos that I’ve taken before I’m ready to do my recap!!
Needless to say, it’s been really good to read this post today after the break away from the computer and it just brings back so many good memories!! Thanks again for visiting!!
@JanVanHaver I’m laughing so much, it might be unhealthy. Love your photo of the three Guiding Stars! I bet the secret to it is that it takes a fourth one to take it.
Also, what a wonderful way to tell us about your visit! Manchester has been on my bucket list for ages, largely because of all the great posts by @AdrianLunsong and @PeteMHW and other active Local Guides from there. But reading your take on it just made me even more eager to visit.
Looking forward to more mini (and not) meet-up recaps from everywhere.
Indeed @DeniGu on that particular day the average guiding star per square meter ratio in Manchester was exceptionally high Glad to hear the post made you laugh so much - so after all it was a good thing I had a few hours to kill at the airport on the trip back to Belgium.
Thanks @JeroenM@DENIT33 and I also hope there are more of these to follow soon.
Michigan @Erna_LaBeau ? Then I would hardly be a EuroMeetup of course . But who knows what other series might still be lurking in our future…
