From start of one contribution on Google Maps & accepting Local Guides Program policy, you are a local guide.
Sadly, you cannot be “not a local guide” & contribute at same time because local guides are one who contributes on Google Maps.
I hope you understand that we cannot unlist ourselves from the word local guide & contribute at the same time. Leaving from the program may be the only solution, as you don’t want to be a local guide. Please check this post by @MortenCopenhagen to know how to leave the program.
