Well ,2025 has been a wonderful year for me. It was the year I was introduced to the Connect Forum, which became my source to a world of ideas, stories, perspectives, learning, and personal growth.
This platform helped me evaluate my own skills and understand my strengths better.
The year gave me many opportunities to hone my abilities.
I met several inspiring personalities and intellectuals here people I truly respect and admire for who they are and what they do.
My belief that sincerity is the only true path to success was reaffirmed and strengthened through this platform.
I am deeply thankful for 2025.
As I step into 2026.
I intend to continue doing what I do to the best of my ability.
With God’s grace, I seek to grow into the best version of myself by learning, evolving, and upgrading my skills.
I pray for the wisdom to nurture my passion with patience and faith, and I ask universe to guide me on the right path, one where I can walk with sincerity, dedication, humility, and trust in its plan.

Yes Videos are the way to go. I have been preaching that all year. My daily video totals for 3000 + videos are now receiving approximately the same Daily views as my 8000 Photos.

In 2025 year I had all New Year resolution tied with numer 2025 or 25:

editing a total of 2025 places
adding 2025 roads
reviewing a total of 25 places
rating a total of 25 places
report a total of 25 irregularities
adding first photos/videos.
And what can I say, I achieved them after four months.
In 2025, I also took part in the TRAC and TORM campaigns for the first time, and at the end of the year I received another badge from the community:

What about Local Guides? Maybe reaching level 10 would be a challenge, but for me, adding more valuable content to help others is more important.

As I said a year ago I am still not a big fan of nor believer in New Years Resolutions, but the only wish, I expressed last New Year day “hoping to reach level 10 in 2025”, did indeed happen on June, 11.
So for this year, I plan to continue contributing based on all places I visit without setting a numeric target regarding points or numbers.
My main focus was and certainly will remain posting photos. Analyzing in more depths how I earned the points, it seems the Responds to Q&R were generating about double the points, I got from photos, but I need to investigate a bit more on this.
@LuisMGonzalez My fellow Canadian team Spotlight member, It would be great if we could do a meet up in the future. Happy New Year my friend.

Mes résolutions 2026
En tant que contributeur actif en France, je vise à atteindre le niveau 10 de Local Guide en 2026 (il me reste environ 6 500 points à parcourir !) en continuant à publier des avis détaillés, dont environ les deux tiers sur le patrimoine culturel (châteaux, musées, etc…, des visites que j’adore faire), et le reste sur des lieux de convivialité : restaurants, bars, hôtels, etc.
(Je ne vois pas cet objectif comme une fin, et bien sûr, je continuerai mon activité de LG au-delà des 100 000 points).
Je pense également à progresser du côté vidéos, où j’ai une grosse marge de progression ! Ce type de média est moins naturel pour moi que la photo, et j’oublie même souvent de faire des vidéos.
Dernier point, je pense également travailler sur l’amélioration de la moyenne de mes vues de photos. Je connais les leviers pour y parvenir, j’ai déjà commencé et il faut continuer.
Objectifs concrets
Il me semble qu’un objectif doit être cohérent et réalisable (sans trop de pression). Ces objectifs-là me semblent remplir les deux conditions !
Je ne sais pas @TerryPG comment vous trouvez le temps d’avoir autant d’activité dans Maps (et dans Connect), et je vous souhaite sincèrement de parvenir à la réalisation de tous vos objectifs en 2026 !
Je reste admiratif des LG qui arrivent à ajouter des routes, chose que je n’ai jamais faite. Il faudra que je me penche sur la question. Y a-t-il un tutoriel quelque part ?

@Annaelisa Congrats on achieving level 10, somehow I missed that. Even bigger congrats on the 2000 roads added. That’s huge, and I think you do all of this on a smart phone. WOW congrats and Happy New Year.
A clear example of this happened two years ago, when I was honored with the “Stella al Merito del Lavoro” (Star of Merit for Labor) by the President of the Italian Republic. I never “planned” to receive such a high recognition; it was simply the natural outcome of daily commitment and seriousness in my profession.
To me this is a huge honour, Congrats my friend. I love seeing your photographs. Happy New Year.

True story …I was a young aspiring Football (soccer)Player In England where I grew up. At the age of 15 I was showing some promise and what I didn’t know was that I had been scouted for a local Professional team. Unfortunately for me my parents decided to re-immigrate to Canada. I did not want to go. That’s life.

Great share @TerryPG and I love how it gets everyone talking and it’s fun to read the Guides goals and also how it it went. Love to see how you got so many videos posted and even got one that went viral! 
Here is mine from 2025.
My idea is continue to visit different areas as time allots to build more photo and video content. I’m thinking more museums and historical spots too. I will to make a post to share more about that.
It made me realize that looking back in my rearview mirror, how my year was more packed and eventful than I thought. I was able to explore a few historical cities, which I posted about in our #StateChallenge meetups.
This year, I will continue to do that- to explore new places including historical cities and museums as time allots. I will go with the flow, as exploring new spots will lead to chances for me to find areas to contribute to.
