Hi @MortenCopenhagen ,
One of the ways I use to protect the copyright of my images is to selectively crop them so that I have an image that only I have the complete version of. This sort of puts that at risk
. The woman’s face is a little scarey.
We talked before about edited images submitted to Google. This example would be easier to pick up - the joins are a little obvious. However, it won’t be long before lots of AI edited images are on Google Maps.
I am waiting to write a post about internal immersive view which is Google Maps making things up using AI. It already does for landmarks in cities like Paris whre you can get a sky view around the monuments. It is looking to make it’s navigation system have the same experience. All of that souns great. The problem comes with the internal stuff and copyright. When I create internal 360-degree virtual tours I am already planning to add objects in a particular way so that I can be in a position to sue for use of my work without agreement or attribution - when Google Maps recreates their flythrough using my work as the basis for their new service.
Cheers,
Nigel
