This is clock tower of the Jodhpur. It situated in the Heart of the city near Sardar Market. The Clock tower was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1910. It is also known as Ghantaghar. This property is not wheelchair accessible. Only you can go around this by outer side view.
It is surrounded by many local different type of shops. The shops by local are selling spices, bangales, food items, umbrela, authentic wear for marrige functions, asthetic foot wear etc etc. Some Pawn Shops are also here.
The Clock Tower opens Daily from 10 AM to 07 PM for every one with different fee. For Indian Citizen 25rs INR and for foreigners 100rs INR, as on the date when I am Posting this blog.
If you are in jodhpur must visit this place you can spend whole day with shopping here by local shops like aesthetic clothing for women and men. Authentic foot wear like mojadi and juti. wearing Safa on Head.
You can also eat and drink famous food items like Samosa, Lassi, Mawa kachori, chat bazaar, mirchibada and authentic jodhpuri food daal bati at nearby famous shops.
It’s really nostalgic @shyambohra I lived in Jodhpur for 6 years during my teenage, my school days. I had visited Ghantaghar for countless times. I had also visited so many historical place in Jodhpur. Infact I also visited various places in Jaisalmer, Udaipur, and Jaipur. I have lots of sweet memories about Jodhpur it’s the best city in Rajasthan.
