mmmm very nice
@Sophia_Cambodia Yeah, that sounds very logical. I do like the smell and taste but with fresh durian fruits, I find that the taste/texture can vary quite a bit from fruit to fruit and just depends on luck when you get a good one. Maybe I just have a poor experience with durians! With the fake durian flavoured ice cream, the taste is consistent so I know what I’m getting every time I eat it! My mum says I’m not adventurous and that finding a good durian is part of the excitement of eating the fruit.
@Velvel Thanks for the info on the origins of the flat bao buns! I’ll edit my answer to reflect that! And yeah, I do like the pork belly version! And also by chance, I had one from a Spanish tapas restaurant (yeah, I’m not sure why that dish is on their menu but it was lovely nonetheless).
I love Korean BBQ… the menu is more accessible to me because it’s quite straight forward and I know what I’m getting . My ex-schoolmate took me to a really nice one in Los Angeles (Road to Seoul) when I visited him and yeah, he ordered everything for us!
Thanks very much @filipvandevelden ! Do give it a try to name the dishes! And I’m writing a new post today for my last final set of dishes!
Ah you mean the Prince biscuits @TorM , yes I know them as well … I lived in Belgium as you know . Are they the same biscuits? They look similar indeed now thinking, but the brand I’ve inserted is stated to be a German one from Hannover? I recognize them by the logo shape and never remember the name, hence German biscuits
.
But they are both very good, we like them too .
It comes from Belgium for sure. While, what rule it plays…
My children Love them and yes there are two big companies who produce, but both are good.
That’s great, thank you very much.
Your steamed bao bun looks so fancy with Wagyu beef @AdrianLunsong
I’ve never seen steamed bao bun with Wagyu before.
Another coincidence… I’ve just explored my Google Maps to LA when reading Katy’s post about Celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month through Google Maps . I hope to explore more Korean food and dessert in the States someday, including LA with the famous Koreatown.
Me and my bestie almost had Korean BBQ dinner at my bestie’s favorite Korean restaurant in LA : Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong , but that Saturday night was very hard to find a car park
So, we ended up having burger at IN-N-OUT LOL
I’ve saved Road to Seoul on my “want to go” list.
Did you have all you can eat there?
@TorM @LuigiZ I think that we can just agree that they are European biscuits since it seems to come from some neighbouring country in Europe!
@Velvel To be honest, I couldn’t tell you if it was Wagyu beef or not. It was tender for sure, but non-Wagyu beef can achieve that too if cooked under certain conditions. I think it’s probably wiser to order a standard beef and if it’s good enough, it’s good enough! And no, we didn’t do an “all you can eat” buffet. My parents were there too and it would have been wasted on them as they are small eaters now.
