Gerovo, a settlement in Gorski kotar; 693 st. (2011). It lies at 584 m above sea level, 15 km south of Čabra, along the Delnice-Čabar-Vrhnik (Slovenia) road. Parish church of St. Hermagora and Fortunata from 1842; gerovska rimokatolička župa osn. is 1504 (the oldest in Gorski kotar). Wood (sawdust), paper (crepe paper) and textile industry. Tourism. Nearby (Tatinski vrh) is a 22 m long cave with rich cave decorations. - It is mentioned for the first time in 1028 as Geron. All Gerovo area is an ideal place for walking, cycling, hiking, hunting and fishing!
