Apps: google maps vs street view

Hi!

Inspired by @SuzanneN I bought myself the Envizion 360 from Huawei (thank you Suzanne for your post!).

It’s a great gadget and does wonderful pictures in just one click,

but now I have a question:

By uploading the photo via the app “street view” on my android

it’s acceptetd by google and you can see it in this app

but still not appearing in “google maps”…

So I do 2 uploads - one in “street view” and one in “google maps”…

Is there a kind of delay and it will appear in “google maps” anyway and I’m just too impatient…?

Hello @Geri70 I am not an expert but I have encountered almost a similar scenario. I took some 360’ photos using a Samsung and published them but when checking through my photos at maps they did not show on my profile so I added them to maps. However after some time the ones from street view also started showing and I had duplicate photos. I had a difficult time trying to delete them for some days because after deleting the next day you will see them showing again.

I hope we are talking about the same thing here not sure if there are any technical issues with a Huawei but maybe give it some time they will start showing.

I am using the same camera for 360. Your photo looks better than mine. Your hiding methods looks good. I use snapseed for erasing myself.

For uploading, I try google maps to upload. I tried some from SV app, but map looks better in terms of usability.
