@AdrianLunsong, that’s what I thought at the beginning too, but it depends where you’re looking.
First, I was disappointed that mapping could not be done in my own country, and there were some specific roads that I wanted to fix. I think it was @JustJake that encouraged me to look in other countries to get started.
Then when my country opened up, I found there really wasn’t enough to do there that would give me big numbers. I found as I tested a tew other countries I could get better results elsewhere.
It is now rare for me to do any home mapping except when I drive and find Google gives me a route with an error.

I remember when they opened your country for edits. I found a couple roads to test it out. But, you’re certainly correct that looking around the world can make it much easier to find roads to contribute.
