Oh! That will be great (inviting Hassan to a Meetup), I am sure it will help boost his morale, his love for volunteering and his rankings too!
Thank you so much for heeding me within such a short time frame.
You deserve all the accolades ![]()

Thank you for the tag @Ewaade_3A . I’m happy to see you’ve been consistent with your posts and engagement both with Connect and Crowdsource!
I’m not sure the history between you and Shola but it’s never nice seeing our people clash, especially on an international platform and since most people reading don’t have previous context of the situation. Since I’m tagged in this comment, I think I’ll respond just based on this comment.
I know there has been talks about rewards, recognition, and “influence” and the truth is no one really knows how LGs are selected but the Google team. From my understanding, Google and its subsidiaries are heavily backed by data and algorithms to make data-driven decisions but also notice impactful influence and connections within our communities. I can’t even put myself amongst those you mentioned if it’s based on technical contributions alone, but I personally know how hard they work behind the scenes and the type of conversations they’ve had to build a strong foundation for the local guides and crowdsource community in Nigeria!
We know there might be people who are active only because of the rewards and recognitions just as there are people on here for the volunteer aspect or because they genuinely support the vision. Whatever that is, don’t let that take away from the good you’re doing! It really doesn’t matter when you started (there are many testimonials), but one thing that’s consistent I’ve been hearing across board is that quality of contributions matter as well as the impact we’ve made in our communities!
Thanks, Nonso @ChinonsoOnukwugha
Thanks for responding and thanks for your good words of encouragement for me.
As for me, you are on that Cadre based on your contributions to accessibility and your willingness to share and bring others on board.
As for the other issue;
I am questioning his motive for raising this narrative it’s nothing personal ![]()
Please take care and have a beautiful day ![]()
It’s my pleasure, Hassan @HassanZaib . When you meet Kashif, he will surely take you on a Photo walk, a each clean up, food crawl or one of the other relevant Local Guides’ initiatives.
The Maps need all of us ‘Locals’ to improve the Maps around us. I am sure there are many things you can do in preparation for the Meetup.
I think the easiest will be ‘Map edits’;
I wish I spoke Arabic like you, but there is just so much I can do with the obvious language barrier, so, I have left you in the good hands of Kashif Abdulrazzaq and I trust him to make the best Local Guide out of you, all the best!
If you have any other question, you can tag me on relevant posts so that we can remain on topic on this thread which is; ‘to find people who have visited a Google office in their home country’.
Hi @Ewaade_3A
Nice to see your post.
And im glad you happy meet other local guides too in this event.
Thanks for sharing this
Yeah!
Are you back from the Indian trip?
Please keep my gift o…
I have a feeling we will see soon!
Have you visited the Google office in Jakarta? How was it?
Is it as beautiful as ours?
@Ewaade_3A thanks for your detailed answer. You write about my language,it is Urdu not Arabic. Well I write in English as well. Only speaking is difficult for me and also some words I didn’t write and read. Then I use translate for it.
Oh yes! Kashif has told me about Urdu.
Don’t worry, I can understand you. That is all that matters.
Namaskar,
** @Ewaade_3A **
Yes, similar feeling, had lot’s fun memories when visited at Google office, in My Country India
How was
My Experience-of-Google-Office-In Bangalore India please visit…
Wow! Your post is beautiful!
@Shrut19 thanks for sharing
Hi @Ewaade_3A
What a wonderful experience that you had to visit your lovely brand office and meet with other Local Guides as well.
If Disneyland is “The Happiest Place on Earth”, then what you said about Google’s office is right. It is “The Happy Place to Work”. I could feel it through the pictures although I haven’t worked there or even visited Google’s office in Jakarta.
Regarding the YouTube Shorts video that can’t appear on your post, let me help help you with the solution :
I got this solution thanks to @ErmesT ![]()
Let’s try it! Looking forward to your Shorts ![]()
Thanks @Velvel
I am glad I gave visited ‘both places of happiness’.
While you may not have visited the Jakarta Office, you have visited the Headquarters in California, that should count for something.
Thanks for sharing.
About the YouTube Shorts, I found a way to fix it already, the video is up there in my post, so, I added; “for you, I had to find a way”.
I will look into the 2nd method you have shared and try it too.
Thank you and it is good to hear from you after a long time @Velvel
thank you @Ewaade_3A for this beautiful post. I am so appreciate to see @SholaIB , brother. Very good post
I have not visited Google Indonesia yet. Cause i didn’t get any invitations.
I assume it also nice place.
When I saw your comment, I started wondering; “how did Nasim become Level 6 Local Guide?”
Now, I see you are a different person.
Wow! Have you met @NasimJoy ? Nasim is one of the sweetest and most lovable people I have met, he is also quite passionate about the Local Guides’ Program. You should meet Nasim.
Thanks for your comment @NasimJ I am glad that; seeing Mr. Shola makes you happy ![]()
Take care and have a great day
They better be ready when you finally get their invite! because you make the most ‘fun to look at’ 360 photos and videos ever.
From what @Shrut19 has shown me, I see that; the regional offices have a flair of the predominant culture in the interior decor of the office space.
Look at the photo Shruti shared and look at mine, I will love to sew what the interior looks like. I think but I am not sure @Nyainurjanah and @Yulialabelle have been to the Google office there, maybe we will ask them @Ddimitra
Dear @Ewaade_3A we are not different person
. That is me. @NasimJoy is my previous account, and 6 months ago unfortunately Local Guides ban my account. I Couldn’t get back. Then I was depressed few days. But I never give up and create this Account @NasimJ and starting my Journey again.
Thanks for remember me.
You’re welcome @Ewaade_3A ![]()
Oh yes, that was indeed an honor for me to be able to visit Google HQ in California. I hope someday you could get the chance, too ![]()
I would also love to visit Google office in the city where I live as well.
Ahhh… I’m also a fan of The Happiest Place on Earth!! Can’t wait to come back and play again there somewhere in the world it is!
Which Disneyland that you have visited?
