You impress me with your literary genius! You have the answers ready at all times and present it in the simplest of ways such that it is easy to read, no matter how lengthy and you give it to each person tailor-made for them.
You are like Sunshine, a real shining star
Mi l’ore Oshi is one of the ways we (Yorubas) hype our friends here. Just because we love our friends so much, we are trying to make them know that they are very valuable!
So, the text means; “I don’t have a friend that is not valuable” (for lack of a better English translation) and Kimon is ‘Come on!’
P.S.-
this doesn’t mean I won’t mean tease you tomorrow .
Come for Adrian’s meetup at 2p.m. today if you have the time.
Thank you @Ewaade_3A ! Following on the first that I mentioned in my reply to you here, you’ve now touched on a second one of my beliefs and that is always give your best. I wonder if you’ll touch on the next two
Hang on for a moment! You give it with one hand (the shining star praise) but then threaten to take it with the other (you’ll tease me tomorrow) Never mind, I still look forward to joining you and @AdrianLunsong for lunch later today ;-).
Thanks @theStarman for your appreciation and I’m pleased to hear that you plan to visit both Lisbon and Porto possibly in June. I’ve been to both these cities and just know that you will love both. I’m certainly no Portugal expert but I can say that Porto was the first of my visits to Portugal and I walked there from Santiago de Compestela in Spain. From there we walked along the Atlantic coast heading towards Lisbon and then traveled to the south of Portugal before heading back to Seville and from there on to Morocco. It was a big trip but still I didn’t see enough of Portugal and I loved Portugal so much that I returned 2 times after that first trip focusing more on Lisbon.
We all look forward to hearing about your June trip and to seeing lots of your amazing photos
@AdamGT . Wow! I feel sorry for Italian people But some people need to do their job and be honest because the life of humanity is not cheap . Any little mistake could destroy the whole humanity.
@AdamGT Your journey sound super fantastic and very inspiring
My plane is to start in Spain also, but in Madrid (cause i am also a fan the famous football club ), then go down all the way to Granada, Malaga, up to Sevilla and cross Gibraltar to Cadiz, Huelva via Lagos to Lisbon and then finally to Porto
do you think that by June the sky will be open to visit Spain & Portugal?
i know that its hard to predict… but since you live there you probably have much more update information better then me
we can meet when i’ll be there and share our pics together
I’m so happy that you found my trip super fantastic and very inspiring @theStarman but no I don’t live in Portugal, I live 17,758 km away as the crow flies in Australia. So while I would very much love to be in Portugal in June to meet you, sadly I won’t be there. However, your trip sounds awesome and we all look forward to reading about it and seeing all your photos here on Connect. My trip through Spain and Portugal was virtually in the reverse order of your planned trip. I started in the north and traveled through and down to the south and you are going from the south to the north. However, everything in between is the same. You will visit the same places that I did so I know that it will be a fantastic trip. I do very much hope that the sky will be clear by June, really I do.
I like the idea of yours - virtual tour but as a web developer that spend a lot in the virtual world i miss nature , however in times like that, we need to adjust ourselves to the present and hold to what we’ve got.
i hope we can meet someday in between and share new places for others and spread our journey
Thank you @HUMBERTO_V I’m really happy that you enjoyed the story and photo. There is always something that we can discover about the places we visit. We just need to “dig it out” and then share the story together with our photos, this makes our photos so much more interesting.
Thank you @noelnico and @Austinelewex for your appreciation. Have either of you been to Portugal yourself?
Like you @Austinelewex I love history and as you will know Portugal was such a powerful country in those days. Today it, and in particular its cities like Lisbon and Porto, and believe me there are many others, is truly a tourist mecca.
Oh @TraciC , thank you for your encouraging comment and I’m so happy to hear that you also visited this, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Of course as you will know my post is just a snippet, all from just one photo! We were there for an extensive time in 2011, went back in 2017 and again in 2018 and want to see more so hoping to visit again one day. I’d love to hear more about your visit
@AdamGT I have not been to Portugal. But I have read about her might sea navigation and how she discovered so many new world. Starting from the Americas down to other side of Asia. Back in the days, it was one of the powerful nations. I guess they were first to come to Nigeria shores. In our Nigeria pidgin English we have traces of Portuguese in it.
