A, B or C - Which photo has the most views #04?

Yes we have the answer to each of the 4 separate polls @AT_Rome and while whether or not any participant got one or more of the 4 right answers, I’m pleased that this chain of discussion fleshed out some great thoughts and ideas, including your very interesting input from your prompt-engineering expertise.

Indeed as you have noted, the position, especially at number one spot, has a great influence on the outcome. Finding POIs that have few, if any, photos and adding a couple that are a cut above those already there, is something I myself always look out for.

Oh I so agree with this. One only needs to take a look at the top star photos including the train station by @SvenJacobs and the top star videos including the shopping mall by @snieckarz to appreciate this.

My second most viewed photo (over 3.5 million) depicts the Platone Higher Education Institute (IIS) in Rome, and coincidentally it is also the cover image. In this case the image is nocturnal and angled, unlike the first.

This would confirm that the photographic shot has little to do with the number of views, but rather being the first of the POI (especially if people do not view photographs other than the one on the cover).

My third most viewed image (almost 1.8 million) also concerns education and culture: it is a school library, and this makes me think that my passions regarding knowledge and learning (in the most diverse fields) are common to many people, here in Rome.

Exactly. People don’t usually scroll down long lists of media and I would go so far as also suggesting that this would also be the case in lists of reviews where currency dictates the order.

Difficult yes but I think not impossible! For example, factors like first mover advantage, looking at the photos already at a place before shooting and adding yours. I firmly believe that standing out in the crowd is a good approach.

Yes they are really interesting but while we all have limited time, it is great to see the quality input that we already have seen in this topic. Through sharing likes this we all learn how we might be able to improve on the “quality” our contributions and the impact that they have.

Thank you for sharing your photo of the square of St. Peter’s Basilica on the very day of the Holy Father’s passing. I’ve been seeing this on the local TV ever since that day and learning a lot more about how amazing this pontiff was. Today will be an even bigger event and I imagine 100s of thousands of people and not only Catholics, will be there.
