Where are you from?
Abu Road, INDIA.
When did you join Connect?
I joined connect in 2019.
How did you learn about Connect in the first place?
Hmm, that’s interesting. I probably heard it via official mail from google, prompting local guides to join the connect.
What time of the day/week do you like to check what’s new on Connect?
There is no such specific time; whenever I get time off, I check in to read some contribution stories and challenges.
Have you attended or hosted a meet-up on Connect?
Yes, I have hosted a lot of meetups and even been part of many, but undoubtedly my favourite meetup experience was the first meetup I ever joined. It was @NareshDarji 's meetup, just before lockdown on 14th March 2020. I still remember what Naresh said to me that day: everyone joins the meetup and promises to remain active but rather disappears, and I promised him that I won’t be leaving this platform ever. 5 years down the line I kept my promise. I still love connecting like I did in 2019, and will continue to come up with something new.
What’s your favourite moment on Connect?
Ah! tough question. I have many such moments here, and the one that comes to my mind right now is being recognised as an Accessibility Champion. I never thought my contribution would be recognised by everyone. I am determined to share my contribution to the mission of accessibility.
Tell us about one Connect feature that you love.
The option to follow our favourite Local Guides and Googlers. It gives me access to read their posts and more options, which I would have missed otherwise.
What one feature would you add to Connect if you could?
The ‘featured’ post section used to be an amazing feature before, and I wish to see it again.
Tell us about one thing you’re planning to share or do on Connect this year.
I started a new challenge to map Accessibility at airports, with special focus on braille signage. I am hopeful to have 20+ airports across the globe mapped through this challenge. Apart from this, I am also working on the 7th season of Connecting Rural India, trying to figure out something exciting and different. Stay Tuned.
