Las Vegas - Tips for those that don't party, gamble or drink?

Hey all,

So I'm in Las Vegas this week for work, and will be staying pretty close to the strip. During the day I'll be working at my client's site, but I should have a bit of time here and there to walk around a bit. Last time I was in Vegas was more than 10 years ago, so I'm pretty sure many things have changed. I don't party, drink or gamble - any recommendations for other fun things to do in the city? Any tips would be appreciated 🙂

Hi @iyudhi,

I have seen this attraction on TV alot when it comes to Vegas attractions. It is probably a fun thing to do and record with your cell phone.

Check out the SlotZilla zipline video in this link.

Sounds pretty cool @BruceDM. I'll try to look for it when I get a chance 🙂

What about food? Any advice on good places to eat?

You must go to « Mon ami GABI ». It’s a French restaurant, located on the Strip. We went there with our daughter. Very good !

Hi @iyudhi - It's been a long time since I last went and I didn't really do the restaurants.

But I will say that all casinos had buffets. So the fancier Casinos (cosmopolitan, bellagio, ceasars) would probably have good buffets where you can try alot of different things.

There are great restaurants and even some museums. I would recommend the nuclear weapons museums.

Mon ami Gabi looks interesting @Anouk thanks for the suggestion! Putting it on the list and will definitely check it out when I got a chance 🙂

@BruceDM I didn't realize how buffet is a big thing in Vegas. My clients even recommended me. I need to check one out soon.. maybe on the last day so I can just splurge away lol.

Any particular restaurants you'd recommend @Blahmemberfunction? 🙂

Plan a visit to Hoover Dam, it's amazing, only 30' from the strip: https://goo.gl/maps/L2Zk4KCPzHm

Also, make an helicopter tour on the city, this is my suggestion: https://goo.gl/maps/nnXcVwXBSiK2

And don't forget to assist to some show, maybe a magic show like the one i saw at the Tropicana with David Goldrake, Imaginarium: take your ticket at last minute box offices along the strip for great save!
