When I decide to go to nother country I use Google search 🙂 to know about the following:
1- The habbits and traditions at the locations I am planning to visit.
2-The best hotels with good price and near metro. Included breakfast is an advantage.
3- Contacts and friends if any 🙂
4- The wheather in order to be prepared with the right cloth and an umbrella of course.
5- Things to do there I.e their locations, openning and choosing time and the prices.
6- When you want visit attraction avoid week ends because of crowdness.
7- Avoid to be alone in dark deserted places.
8- Try to get early morning and remeber your time is limited so do not waste sleeping as most attractions close by 5 pm.
9- Behave well and remeber you are an unofficial ambassador of your country.
Any more suggestion?

@ZuhairM This is a great list 🙂
I also research the culture and customs of a country I am visiting to make sure I dress appropriately and behave correctly. Like it or not, we are ambassadors for our countries like you say.
I also try to learn a few basic words - particularly "thank you" so that I can show my appreciation for local culture and improve my interactions.

When I go places if I am driving I tend to look up "road trip attractions". I have some good spheres of caves and old restaurants that look like space ships and nice parks etc...
I really wish I would have gotten into making the photospheres before I took my Hawaii vacation earlier this year.
