Hike to the back of the Hollywood sign

Hey everyone,

This August I visit Los Angeles and I want to do the hike to the back of the Hollywood sign.

You read a lot of things about local people putting up fake 'No parking' and 'Tow away' signs, to keep tourists out.

I'm not willing to let my car getting towed so, some info from locals would be nice.

Which hike is the best, and where is the best spot to park?

There are a few ways to make the hike, depending on if you're looking for a casual or challenging hike.

Be aware that it can be pretty busy, so if you can try to avoid going on weekends. Also know that some days in Los Angeles can be pretty opaque (either from Marine Layer or smog), so YMMV on views. Either way, the sign is awesome to see. To play it safe for parking, you can Uber, or use the DASH bus if you take one of the longer hikes and don't mind walking.
