Kanyakumari also known as Cape Comorin is a town in Kanyakumari District,Tamil Nadu in India. The name comes from the Devi Kanya Kumari Temple in the region. It is the southernmost tip of peninsular India. The capital of the town is Nagercoil, the administrative headquarters of Kanyakumari District.

Though it is the tip of India and surrounded  by sea, its a tourist spot, where tourist from India and other countries come here. The Bhagavathi Amman Temple, Vivekananda Rock memorial , sun rise and sun set point are some good places to visit here in Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari is the southern most tip in India map. This place is historical as it is the sangam of three oceans viz. Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian sea. It is spectacular to see the three oceans joining at one place.
