This really shows off the features of My Maps which seems a product little known about. Judging by the questions here on the forum, Local Guides regularly add (or try to add) things to the base map that really belong on a custom map. Have you given any consideration to further promoting My Maps to the LG community to offer them an alternative, and often more appropriate, way of mapping - and to help keep the base map clean of unmappable POIs?
