"Minamikata senbon-sakura" in Miyagi
”Senbon-sakura” means that 1,000 cherry blossoms are in full bloom surrounding you.
This is a long row of cherry blossoms that Japanese people do not even know.
It's on the road so you can enjoy it from the car.
Cherry trees with a total length of 7 km 1,000 were planted for the reason of protection of farmland.
So this is a pure Japanese countryside, not a tourist destination.
Even in such remote areas, there are customs to plant cherry blossoms.
Unfortunately traffic is very inconvenient.
A Japanese guide may be necessary.
Still, the cherry blossom viewing from the car window will be memories of your life.

仕事で琵琶湖の南端まで行きました。「芝桜が満開ですよ」と教えて頂いたので、湖岸のプロムナードを歩いてきました。ちょっと、曇っていて残念だったけど、撮影中にミシガンクルーズが発着しました。桜の花見はホントにこれが最後。来年また会いましょう。

The cherry blossoms in Iwate are finally starting to bloom too.
This week I drove down to Kitakami's Tenshochi.
"Tenshochi Park" in Kitakmi, Iwate
Tenshochi has been selected as one of the top 100 places to see cherry blossoms in Japan.
There are over 10,000 cherry blossom trees in Tenshochi park. Most of them bloom in this light pink color.
You can view the cherry blossoms from the river while taking a ride on a gondola-like boat, or you can ride through the middle of an arch of cherry blossom trees on a horse-drawn carriage.
At night they light up the cherry trees so you can enjoy "yozakura", cherry blossoms at night.
Tenshochi can get very crowded, especially on the weekends, but it is definitely a sight to see.
