I discovered a huge mountain just near my house... i can go here in 2 hours, and be at the summit in around 4 hours... from my house! I can't believe i never been here before.

There is also a video of my climbing through the "direttissima", a climbing route with difficults up to III.

Wow, stunning views @LucioV!

In my case, I knew what I was going to see during my holidays, but nevertheless, one of the most shocking parts was seeing in person the effects of the earthquakes of Kumamoto in the castle, as you can see in this picture.

Apart from that, it was a great trip also in terms of new places added to Maps. I was below 2000 points before going and I ended up with more that 2200 🙂

Re: Your best summer vacation discovery

When this earthquake occurred? So you mapped a lot of Japan! How is the coverage of maps there?

For me it was not local, we took the family to Hawaii for the first time this summer - we already can not wait to go back; so my best summer discovery was just how much I fell in love with Maui!
