Why each place only show 200 pictures (max)?

I have a question about the max photo number for each place ,even a very popular place should not only have 200 pictures .

If I upload more pictures , Are those old pictures still visiblable?

Hi. That's an important question that I also have (hence I'm here researching the topic on the forums!).

It's also related to the fact that many of the pictures on popular places or good hotels are more of a personal sort than, let's say, something helpful to other users / customers.

Sometimes the pictures might even be from a reliable source -- I'll mention Booking.com as an example -- but they are of poor quality and they stop other people from uploading better pictures.

I haven't found any answers yet but I'm adding my own experiences in Rio de Janeiro to your post and hoping we can get some attention to that.
