To brief you roughly. 

The festive is called Timket which is the Ethiopian version of Epiphany holiday that is to Celebrate the Baptism of Christ, every January 19th (January 20 during leap year).

So during the holiday apart from the Baptism ceremony there is a colorful parade on the streets which happens to stay for around the days totally.
