I love rivers and lakes--pretty much looking at, or walking by, sailing in, any body of water, puts me energetically and creatively into a wonderful place.
Here we are surrounded by two rivers, on our east and on our west. I am fortunate where I live. Each day when I sit at my computer, I can look out at one of these rivers. The sun rises behind the skyline, beyond the water. On a really cold day, sometimes pieces of ice appear in the river like small floes.
I took this photo of my river earlier today.
I would love to see photos from other folks of your favorite water places (and maybe why they call to you!
Here is a photo I took of Lake Como last year.

@MarieP The lakes are very nice, I liked it very much. But there are also places where there is a small lake located in the beautiful place and even these small lakes I love. Great topic.
Hallstatt Austria - Hallstatätter See. This is a great.

Ora ti porto nelle Alpi Venete, dove puoi trovare alcuni laghi molto belli:
A presto

@ErmesT Beautiful place. I really like the mountains of what is seen on the lake.

@MarieP This is my favorite small lake. The map is not. The lake is in a national nature reserve Canine Cuisine.

Wonderful photos @ErmesT and I am glad I now have seen your other photos on the Burci cemetery. These are not boats I see on our rivers here-occasionally we see sailboats for leisure, but mostly our two rivers have tugboats and large barges-not small boats).
Is it possible to walk along the Sile?

@Myrathor this is a beautiful lake. I see there is a house (?) there. Do people live around this lake?
By the way I now appreciate that I have to learn and remember to put map links and map locations in my photo posts from now on 🙂
