[Indonesia] Bromo Geo Walk 2017 finally held by Batu Local Guides on November 30, 2017. The planned time at 21.00 was shifted to 23:00 adjusting the arrival of the jeep that will transport all participants. At around 21.00 the participants started arriving, both coming from the Malang and Batu City. One participant from Jakarta has been in Batu Local Guides basecamp since early morning according to schedule of train arrival of Jakarta - Malang route.
Around 24.00, the jeep that has been ordered also arrived at Basecamp Batu Local Guides. Up to that time, two new members who have signed up have not arrived yet. When contacted by phone, not also raised. Finally, before 01.00, we decided to leave, leaving the 2 irresponsible members. Travel from Basecamp Batu Local Guides to Rest Area Poncokusumo can be reached in about 30 minutes. Quite short, with a lonely road conditions. In this place, we have a bit of pic while hunting photos. Entrance fee of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park can be paid here for 32,500 rupiah per person. After everything was done, we went on our way. The cold air and the quiet atmosphere made us all unable to resist sleepiness. Although the streets are not exactly smooth, but the sleepiness is still unbearable. Immediately, we arrived at the jeep parking lot on the side of the road to Seruni Point II. One by one we got off the vehicle, preparing for a sweater and a flashlight. There are two children participants, Faza and Thalita who are just 7 years old participate in this adventure. Slowly we started walking through the dark night. The road that has been lined with cement, quite easy for us to walk. Within no more than 30 minutes, we arrived at Seruni Point II, which is a sunrise observation point where the place is quite strategic. Here, we hunt for photographs from the rising sun to the brightest air showing the vast expanse of sandy oceans of Mount Bromo.
Satisfied with photo hunting at Seruni Point II, we continued our journey to Mount Bromo. From Seruni Point II, drive down Ngadisari village street to descend in the sea of sand of Mount Bromo, and stop at jeep parking area. From here, the journey continues on foot to the summit of Mount Bromo which is adjacent to the inactive Mount Batok. At the foot of Mount Batok, precisely in Pura Luhur Poten Bromo, we took time to hunt for photos outside and inside the temple. Once it is enough, we continue our journey. The trip up the slopes of Mount Bromo is very pleasant, because it was treated to beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see. But unfortunately, quite a lot of horse dung from the many horses that are rented for visitors who are not strong walking. Until we were passing the horse parking lot more and more. Towards the stairs to go through to the top of Mount Bromo, the rain began to fall. We ran to a nearby shop for shelter. This opportunity was not wasted some participants to order boiled noodles and hot coffee. After the meal was satisfied, and the rain began to subside, we hurried to the steps in front of us. With steady steps, one by one we go through staircases . Little Thalita with enthusiasm, climbing and singing. The trip was so light, until we arrived at the top of Mount Bromo. Apparently, some participants lagged behind. Maybe because of tired, or a lot of photo hunting. But we were grateful, the weather was friendly enough. Our happiness is increasing, when a local Guides friend from Probolinggo meets here. We took pictures together, while unfurling our Local Guides pride banner.
Thank God, you have allowed us to come together again in this beautiful place. Once satisfied take pictures, we rushed down to anticipate the sudden changes in the weather. As a note, a few days before, there have been warnings of extreme weather changes in some areas. We have to be very careful with taking into everything. In the middle of the stairs, we met with our group that had been separated. Here we also took the opportunity to take pictures together. The group went on to the top that was not so far away, while our party rushed down to the sea of sand. In a relatively short time, we arrived at the car park. Here lined stalls that provide food and drink. I immediately ordered fried noodles and hot cappucino. A moment later, the rain came down heavily. Our second group was out there in the rain. Luckily, everyone can soon arrive at the shop where we take shelter. We also enjoyed a meal together at this shop, entertained by the song of rain around us. After all the participants were satisfied eating food and drink, we went home with a series of exciting stories and unforgettable memories. Thank you guys, see you in the next adventures.
Perjalanan yang sangat seru menyenangkan dan lagi-lagi bersama para local guides Indonesia yang selalu keren, perjalanan awal di sambut oleh hujan dan perjalanan pulang pun di iringi oleh hujan, namun tetap bersahabat dan bonus cuaca cerah saat matahari terbit di pos pendakian pertama dan saat menuju puncak kawah bromo, selalu ada cerita indah setiap perjalanan dengan para local guides.
