Nakuru Mega Walk; 28th July 2018

The first walk for the community (Nakuru Kenya); 9 Local Guides from different Kenyan communities (Kisumu & Western Kenya, Nairobi & Nakuru ) came together and did the walk within Nakuru CBD and later proceeded to Nakuru national park  covering 4 kilometers. The walk was hosted with an aim of empowering members of Nakuru Local guides to participating in community walks. I also held a pre-walk meet up with the Nakuru moderator @questkv including other 4 new members to plan for their future community walks including contributions on Google maps. From Gilanis Restaurant via Bontana hotel to Nakuru national park; we had fun and awesome experience from the walk…I am looking forward to guiding the New community(Nakuru) to their future Walks and contributions just as I did for Kisumu community. Seems like you had a really good time on your Nakuru Mega Walk. Did you organize a Meet-up about it?

I'd be happy to see you have more recaps as colorful and positive as this one and to see the Local Guides Community in your area grow.

It was a great experience.I learnt all that it takes to host and attend any meet up We mapped the route from the Nakuru CBD all the way to the Nakuru National Park! . Above all I made new friends from that meet up. Am sure  Nakuru Local guides were empowered from that meet up and am looking forward to see us hosting our own meet ups.

Yes indeed, we plan to visit one of the remote/rural areas and empower the people around as we show them how they can join in on this great experience
