Even today, I bring one of my tour made on the trail, and trails of the Linea Cadorna trenches of the First World War. Starting from Artesso Pond climb on a trail along the trenches of the First World guera to climb all the way up to the Lorla Roccoli. Then on to a trail that leads all the way up to the spectacular view of Mount Legnoncino which offers the panoramas on Lariaane waters to the south / west, Mount Legnone to North-Northeast.
Frontier North or, in full, the Italian defense system at the Frontier North to Switzerland, popularly known as Cadorna Line [1], is a complex of permanent flood defenses in place protection of the Po Valley and its main economic and production centers : Turin, Milan and Brescia. The system was designed and built between 1899 and 1918 with the declared aim of protecting the Italian territory from a possible attack from across the Alps led by France, Germany or Austria-Hungary violating the neutrality of Switzerland or assumptions less likely, by a possible invasion of the Po Valley by the same Swiss Confederation.
