Haha @PatricL, yes, a tiny flash.
There is a post about a Greek island, with similar tiny flashes. I need to find it an I will send the link

Wow @Anonymous, this photo is amazing, I definitely love it.
I was trying to reply also to your previous post, but it seems you delete it 😞

I wanted to submit into the Rainbows Make Me Smile thread, but problem is there's no rainbow here by definition, apparently.
Last Saturday I'd spotted what seemed oddly shaped rainbows in amongst a bank of clouds drifting underneath clear blue sky.
Take a look at the centre of this image.
Conventional wisdom says these multi-coloured smudges are in fact a fairly rare phenomenon nicknamed Fire Rainbow, or in stricter meteorological terms a Circumhorizontal Arc.
Any meteorologist out there? Give me your thoughts.

Sorry, yep, deleted. Only because I realised too late had already submitted that one on a separate thread some while ago!

Wow @PatricL... heavy clouds, and nice catch of the lightning.
I'll contribute a photo, with lighter clouds. 🙂
Walking with the dog as soon as the sun came up, this gentleman was running.

Sunrise over Stara Planina, with some clouds.

Hello paul_k,
It is a really good subject you have brought up. I myself takes many photos from my window where I live and the clouds are very
from day to day.
Best regards

Can't say that I ever seen the same cloud passing by twice, so I have to agree. 😉
Some UFO clouds passing by, wind wasn't strong enough to hold them in place behind the mountain top.

The number of different skyformations is enormous. As they say sky's the limit!
