This huge buddha statue is situated in Mahiyanganaya. As the name denotes the statue of lord buddha is sculptured as he is seated in a position similar to the meditation posture when he obtained his first enlightenment under the bhodhi tree.

@MahabubMunna Wow, that is a huge statue! It reminds me of the giant Buddha statue in Thailand at Wat Pho.

@Corrie yah there Chittagong hilltrak area 6-7 temple re constraction  join project  (Thiland -Bangladesh) UNESCO and BD govt fund this and design other support Thiland Govt . maybe only Thiland expert this side ti build statue

Thailand also has the Great Buddha, named Mahaminh Sakayamunee Visejchaicharn. It is the tallest statue in Thailand, located in Ang Thong Province. This statue stands 92 m (300 ft) high, and is 63 m (210 ft) wide. I think it's the 4th highest in the world.
