How is Car-Free Days (CFD) in your city?

In Malang City, Car Free Day (CFD) is the day on which one main road is closed from all types of motor vehicles. At the end of the road is always guarded by the police, civil service police officers, as well as officers from the transportation agency. In this event is, residents of Malang City free to feel the city air without pollution. A day where everyone can walk, run, exercise, and also other sports. Many  communities also gather here to meet and share experiences.

We have no any Car free day in our country but Some national festival days we see car free in some roads ,,,,,,

Interesting topic you started, @br14n! Thanks for sharing about the CFD in Malang! In Singapore, we have car-free Sundays where a 5.5km stretch of road in heart of the city will be closed from morning till noon and be turned into a pedestrian and cyclist friendly zone. The next car-free Sunday is this weekend! I haven't been to one of these events (oops) but from the site it looks like a family-oriented day!
