Thanks @Sagir! Happy Chinese New Year to you too!

I love your flowers. I know the red flower is a hibiscus. Very popular in Hawaii. What is the yellow one called? I have never seen this flower before.

Cheers,

Karen

Re: Flowers photography challege

Never knew there was such a thing called wild orchids grown in the Italian mountains.

The winter weather is much colder, including frost and snow, right? Very surprised to see these beauties can survive during the winter in the ground and come back blooming by summer.

Amazing!

Cheers,

Karen

Y unas cuantas orquídeas cubanas en un vivero que visite hace unos cuantos años. Las flores son una pequeña debilidad que tengo a la hora de hacer fotos jejeje 🙂

Re: Flowers photography challege

Funny @KarenVChin, isn't it?

Please check here

In winter the temperature in some area go down to -20 °C (-4 °F) or lower. Snow is a good insulator, so the temperature of the soil in not very low.

In the Alps summertime is so beautiful, deep green with wonderful wild flowers. Here a few sample

varie030.JPG

I took this photo at Passo Rolle (1989 meters above sea)

The next one is a wild lily from Passo Duran (1600 meters)

This is to definitely confirm that I am flowers addicted, it doesn't matter how many petals they have

Thanks @KarenVChin

This flower I don't know its actual name in English but if you translate what we call it in my native language is "yellow love"
